Definition of "damn" and "OMG".

Hey guys!

Today I'm speaking to those who use the word "damn" in your speech. I'm not only talking to the believers. All the non- believers can also read on.

Firstly, I'm not scolding or trying to correct the way you speak or even change the way you use words.

I've seen a lot of people on twitter using the word "damn".
Eg. The weather damn hot

The word "damn" is NOT a good word.
I used to think it was just a word I can use to substitute "very".

After Pastor Dan preached, I asked God to help me STOP using all the words like "OMG", "shit" and "damn".
Surprisingly, for a vulgar girl like me, I instantly stopped. I didn't need to try or strive to change the way I speak.

(For those who are wondering why "oh my God" is a BAD word, read on.)

To prove to you guys that the word "damn" is bad, I went to define it with the dictionary. (The screenshot is below)

I hope you guys will be convinced that it's not the same meaning as the word "very" or "super".

Watch your words because your tongue has the power of life and death. Why use the same tongue you praise God to say words full of condemnation?

For those who want to change to way you speak, despite being a believer or not, you can. Some of you can change instantly like me, or take some time, and even a long time.

To the believers, don't feel condemned when you say those negative words.
Ask God to help you change your speech and put your trust in Him.

Now, regarding the word OMG, it means "oh my God". But have you guys ever realized you guys are using God's name in vain?

Eg ( OMG THIS IS SO CUTE)

Instead of using the word "God", you can substitute it with the word "goodness". You also realize that goodness is a positive thing. The more you use it, the more you are saying things you want to see- goodness.

I hope you guys will realize these words do have meanings to it.
I hope I blessed you guys!

Shalom,
Jo
